I'm looking for people interested in a fantastic week of white tail deer
hunting on Manitoulin Island (WMU 43B) for 3rd week in November, 2005 (Nov.
19th to 26 th).
WMU 43B is the overall best deer hunting area in Ontario when you consider the size of the deer (largest species in N. America), the success rate of the hunters (consistently over 50 %), the total number of deer available for harvesting (about 6000), and your chances of getting an antlerless deer tag (almost 100% probability for WMU 43B). According to provincial and federal government census, there are more deer on Manitoulin Island than people. Ministry of Natural Resources is very worried about how large the deer herd has grown, and is requesting the help of any and all hunters to help thin the herd. If the herd isn't thinned before a severe winter hits, the entire deer population will run out of food, and most of them will starve to death before spring arrives. Hunters need to do their duty and help thin the Manitoulin Island deer herd. The hunting lodge has 4 bedrooms with bunks to sleep 8 big men. The auxiliary travel trailer can sleep another 4 people. The lodge is winterized & cozy no matter how wild the weather gets. We have 5 hunting stands, 113 acres, and 2 bush roads for hunting. This land is part of a 5,000 acre tract of forest on the South shore of Manitoulin Island, right next to the deer's wintering yards. See our website for full information on this golden opportunity. Our deer hunt package deal includes ground transportation from Toronto ON or London ON, all meals, lodging, and a hunting guide with 25 years experience hunting this area.
