Cottage Bedrooms
June
23, 2005 All the bedrooms now have drywall installed on one side
of each interior wall for privacy, and the bedroom doors will be installed
before the end of June, 2005 (2 doors are already installed).
Pictures shown here will be updated when the work is completed. |

After coming up the spiral staircase, the Master Bedroom
is straight ahead with a large window looking out over Lake Huron, and
double French doors out onto the 2nd. floor deck.
|
 |
Looking from the opposite side of the Master bedroom, we
see the bed width of a
standard double bed; sleeping 2 people with lots of room to
spare. The foam rubber mattress is 5" thick; giving excellent
comfort in all sleeping positions.
I'm 6 ft. 3" tall (1.91 meters), so I made the bunks extra long to
ensure everyone's comfort; especially mine. If you are over 7 ft.
tall, there is room to extend the feet out past the end of the bed.
If you are having lots of guests, or have a very big family, the bunks
in all the rooms can sleep 8 people in the main lodge. |
 |
Here, we can see the bunk beds in Bedroom # 2 on the 2nd. floor for another 4 people.
This room has two large windows facing South overlooking Lake Huron.
The door at the end has a screen door leading onto the 2nd. floor deck
overlooking Lake Huron. There are two chairs and a table for your
morning coffee on the deck.
Unless you install blackout curtains, it is impossible to sleep the day
away in this bright, cheery room with an excellent view. |
 |
Bedroom # 3 with the stairway to the loft.
This bedroom is 12' x 10' and has a double bed (5" thick foam mattress), and window looking out onto the upper deck. |
 |
Coming up the stairs from Bedroom #3, you
enter the loft. There is a child's desk for colouring, a games table,
and numerous indoor games for rainy weather or evenings. |
 |
North-West bedroom (# 4) is 8' x 16' with
double bed (5" thick foam mattress), antique caned chair, and window
looking out onto cedar forest and sunset views. |
